I don't usually celebrate Kwanzaa, but researching this episode made me realize the value of why it is important to not only acknowledge it but celebrate it. Today's episode we are discussing the first principal, Umoja.
I went to my first Kwanzaa celebration about 20 years ago. In my family we usually celebrate Junkanoo and Boxing Day so going to a Kwanzaa celebration was new to me. I have been to Kwanzaa gatherings where the entire community gathers and people of all races participate. Below are a few books to help you learn more about Kwanzaa.
